Part 2
In parallel to the band they worked on the second scye album
Flying. In 2002 Anuschka moved back to her native town Hamburg, where she did her first musical steps many years ago. Some of you may have already
heard her sing on records of her father Rolf Zuckowski, or have seen her on several TV performances.
Even though living in two different German cities now,
Munich and Hamburg, they continued scye with the same power and dedication.
In autumn 2004, the album Flying
was released.
Jörg again wrote all music and lyrics, created the main arrangements of all tracks, did the bass, drum and
keyboard parts and mixed and produced all songs.
However, also Anuschka and Thomas had a strong
creative influence. Anuschka created all background vocal parts, especially great arrangements in two
voices. Thomas contributed a lot to the guitar arrangements, guitar licks and phrases, and guitar sounds, in collaboration with Jörg.
“This was hard work, but primarily it was a lot of fun and satisfaction, when we got the results and the
feedback to our music. We especially enjoyed our vocal and guitar sessions, which could last nine,
ten hours, only interrupted by some pizza”.
By the way, the name scye
comes from the “Isle of Skye” in Scotland, were Jörg spent a great time in 1997. When creating the scye logo, he found that the “k” should be replaced by a “c”.
